The bird box should be located at least 2.5m above ground, out of direct sunlight and away from next door’s cat. The lower fixing tab should be secured with a nail or screw, then the box should be folded over this (so it is concealed) and the top fixing tab secured by the same method. The video also demonstrates this sequence.

Although it is manufactured from recycled plastic to protect against the weather, the folding bird box is only intended for a single season’s use. Beyond this, regular inspection should ensure its continued suitability.

Once it’s had its day the bird box can be recycled via your local service.
