Receptionist/Administrator – Cardiff

Located on the Atlantic Wharf waterfront just 10 minutes walk from Cardiff Central Station, EDP has recently opened its third office and, as such, there is a key opportunity for the right individual to join the team as a receptionist with additional administrative duties.

EDP is a highly successful multi-disciplinary Environmental Consultancy with offices in Cirencester, Shrewsbury and as of May 2015, Cardiff. We offer expert planning and design advice to the development sector across a range of land uses including housebuilding, renewable energy and commercial. Our talented team of ecologists, archaeologists, arboriculturists, masterplanners and landscape architects work closely together to ensure development is well-planned, well-designed, environmentally responsive and attractive to people and wildlife.

At EDP our ethos has always been to employ the best people, to treat them well, reward them fairly and offer them opportunities to grow their career as part of our business. We try to promote from within, rather than drawing seniors from elsewhere. This post, in a small, new, but growing office will offer the successful candidate a great opportunity to develop their role, working closely with the consultant team and Office Manager, providing the ‘front of house’ services to clients and visitors.

The right candidate for this role will ideally have previous experience of general administrative duties within a busy office environment. You’ll need a clear voice, a confident phone manner, an eye for detail and a determination to get a job done properly.  In return you’ll get an excellent reward package comprising a generous salary, profit-share bonus scheme, pension, life insurance and free lunch.

The Cardiff Office is part of a bigger business with a ‘small team attitude’. If you feel like you could play a big part in our future then send your CV to Donna Kraven, Cardiff Office Manager, at

Our closing date for applications is 14 November 2015.
