Since its formation in late 2005, EDP has contributed to almost 1000 projects across the UK from individual properties for private clients to some of the largest urban expansions in the country.

Key Sectors

Education
EDP has recently begun to develop excellent links in the education market. We are currently working on 2 secondary schools and about 10 colleges in both the private and public sectors. Our inputs to our first secondary school has won a 2009 Landscape Institute Award in the Landscape Sciences catagory.

Residential and Mixed Use Development
EDP’s practical survey skills and planning knowledge combine to provide a strong evidence base and robust negotiation on behalf of our clients seeking planning permission for a wide variety of proposals. Residential development, including sheltered housing, remains a strong component of our overall project portfolio.

Commercial / Leisure
EDP has a strong track record of involvements with business schemes, including distribution, warehousing and employment propoposals, where landscape inputs especially can be key to unlocking a site’s potential.

Renewable Energy and Infrastructure
EDP’s experienced chartered landscape team, its ecologists and cultural heritage services are increasingly being applied to assess proposals for renewable energy. We have a 100% record at inquiry with the wind energy projects we have been involved with.

Strategic Land
EDP’s unique ability to deliver all the soft environmental topics from one integrated office means we are ideally placed to provide coordinated inputs to the promotion of strategic land interests. Urban Regeneration
EDP doesn’t just work in the rural environment. Urban development calls upon our experience with townscape assessment, street trees, cultural heritage and urban ecology. Our team have experience of contributing to a wide range of urban regeneration projects, including some of the most ambitious in the country such as the Bath Western Riverside project.

Private Clients
Some of the most interesting and challenging projects EDP are involved with are associated with client's aspirations to build or convert new homes in the countryside and diversify farms. We have an enviable track record of achieving planning permissions for our clients for a wide variety of applications.
