We’re looking for a well-rounded, talented, enthusiastic, and highly organised Landscape Architect to join our passionate, dynamic and friendly team in our Cardiff office.
The Role
We are looking for a team player to join the growing Landscape Team, working across a range of project sizes, types and complexities including world class leisure facilities, new settlements and renewable energy projects. This is an excellent opportunity for you to develop professional skills and technical ability, working closely with our existing team of experienced and respected Landscape Architects and the wider EDP Team. This post will offer the successful candidate a wealth of experience encompassing not only landscape, but also aspects of ecology, heritage, masterplanning and arboriculture.
You will share our desire to create environmentally responsive and exceptional places; and be at the leading edge of professional best practice.
Your Skills
Of course, we’ll need you to have all the right qualifications and experience – excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. But to enjoy your time at EDP, you’ll also need to be personable, passionate, and proactive. We’re a friendly bunch but we do work hard.
- A confident professional with drive and ambition;
- An interest in multi-disciplinary planning and design;
- You will ideally be proficient in the use of the Adobe Creative Suite, and the standard Microsoft packages. It would be advantageous (though not essential) for you also to have experience of working with GIS software.
- Excellent written communication with an eye for detail;
- A client focussed team player who is decisive in nature and takes great pride in their project work; and
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills which are essential.

The Opportunity
We’re looking for Consultant and Senior Ecologists to join our passionate, dynamic and friendly team in either our Cheltenham or Cirencester office.
The Role
Benefiting from working in a multidisciplinary consultancy team, you will provide sound ecological advice and project support to Project Managers across a range of projects which vary in size, types and complexities.
You will be positive, proactive and solution focussed, have demonstrable experience of environmental consultancy, and be willing to contribute to a supportive work environment. You will be effective at working on your own and as part of a 30+ strong ecology team located across our three offices.

We are keen to appoint a bat licensed ecologist with experience in mitigation and are particularly interested in applicants with tree climbing skills. Applicants with Biodiversity Net Gain experience or those with other Protected Species licenses are also highly sought after. In addition, you will have a good working knowledge of ecology, environmental legislation and survey techniques, hold a relevant degree and have or be eligible for CIEEM membership.
A full, valid UK driving licence is essential, with access to a vehicle for business use preferred.

The Opportunity
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced candidate to join our supportive and well-established Arboriculture team. We're on the lookout for someone with excellent leadership skills to help us expand our arboriculture services for our clients and provide technical knowledge to our team.
We are open to this role being at any of our three offices.
The Role
We think this job would be perfect for someone who is well established in Arboriculture consultancy, has high career aspirations, the ability to help lead a team coupled with exceptional technical abilities.
Your main responsibilities would be:
- Provide line management and technical support to colleagues in our Arboriculture Team;
- To undertake tree surveys tailored to suit a variety of end uses;
- Working collaboratively on our discipline strategies;
- Project management of multi-disciplinary projects; and
- Prepare written reports, including arboricultural impact assessments, method statements and tree condition reports to a high standard.
