This is an exciting opportunity to start your career in a professional practice at a time when the landscape profession is playing a critical role in shaping resilient, sustainable places. At EDP, you’ll be working on strategic development projects with real scope to influence green infrastructure, biodiversity and long-term placemaking outcomes.

The Role

We are looking for well-rounded, talented, enthusiastic and highly organised team players to join the growing Landscape Team; you’ll be working across a wide range of project scales and sectors, including new settlements, major residential and mixed-use developments, world-class leisure facilities, and renewable energy projects.

As a Graduate Landscape Architect at EDP, you’ll:

  • Work closely with experienced and respected Landscape Architects;
  • Contribute to landscape strategies, landscape and visual impact assessments, masterplanning and design work;
  • Gain exposure to multi-disciplinary projects, collaborating with ecologists, heritage consultants, planners and arboriculturists; and
  • Develop the skills needed to respond to emerging industry priorities such as biodiversity net gain, climate resilience and green infrastructure delivery.

This role offers an excellent platform to build your professional and technical skills, while working at the leading edge of best practice in landscape planning and design.

Your Skills

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, proactive and keen to learn. You’ll need strong communication skills and a genuine interest in shaping better places.

You will ideally have:

  • A degree (or postgraduate qualification) in Landscape Architecture;
  • A confident and professional approach, with drive and ambition;
  • An interest in strategic, landscape-led planning and multi-disciplinary design;
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office;
  • An eye for detail and strong written communication skills; and
  • Experience with GIS software (desirable, but not essential).

Learning and Development

We invest heavily in our people. You’ll benefit from a structured and supportive environment, with access to:

  • An extensive internal training programme;
  • Opportunities to broaden your knowledge across EDP’s multi-disciplinary services; and
  • Support to develop both professionally and personally, as your career progresses.
EDP Benefits

The salary for this post is to be agreed based on qualifications and experience and will form part of an excellent benefits package, including 5% employer pension contributions; private health insurance; life assurance; 30 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays and birthday holiday); TOIL system; hybrid and flexible working, a profit share bonus scheme; carbon offsetting for every employee; and many more!
